Award Winning Construction
With over 1,000 structures completed through 2008, PTC can handle any size project, mono strand or bonded. Located in Washington and Oregon, PTC has completed numerous local projects, as well as projects in Alaska, Idaho, California and Montana. |

Stahlbush Digester Tank
Using post tensioning for circumferential reinforcement is gaining
popularity due to its inherent advantages. The lighter, thinner
slabs allow for a highly durable increased capacity storage tanks.
Using PTC as the post tension supplier further increases the
benefits as PTC provides easy to read, detailed drawings that make
installing the tendons run smoothly. |
Village Commons
The Village Commons was designed to fit in with the urban charm
of Stanwood. The aesthetics include multiple façade textures and
colors along with a rounded Eastern face. This curved face and
multiple level construction made The Village Commons a perfect
candidate for post tensioning. PTC supplied the post tensioning for
the second floor of this four story project. The flexible nature of
the tendons allowed them to bend with the structures curve for
continuous reinforcement. |

Redmond
This three story parking structure located on 1.4 acres will be
providing 386 new parking stalls to the city of Redmond. Metro
is funding this 10 million dollar project to improve the bus
routes and decrease traffic congestion. The design implemented
post tensioned beams approximately 26’ apart with distributed
tendons running perpendicular over the beams through the slab.
In addition, temperature tendons were added between bays to
reduce cracking. To ensure American jobs were protected with the
construction, only American made post tensioned cables were
provided by PTC. |
2201 West Lake
The construction for the 450,000 sq ft project began in early 2007
and will be completed in the Spring of 2009. 2201 Westlake features
a ground floor of retail space with office space and condo units
attached. The post tensioned slabs integrated an under floor air
distribution system, allowing individual offices to control the
temperature and airflow. The thinner post tensioned slab design
allowed for large windows and high ceilings creating plenty of
natural light. With these and other eco-friendly designs, 2201
Westlake is aiming to become LEED Silver certified. |

Mountlake Terrace Transit Center
The Mountlake Terrace Transit Center opened February 23rd featuring
a five level garage with 890 parking spaces. This project needed to
be completed in a timely manner so as not to interrupt the bus routes
and surround parking for too long. To accomplish this goal, PTC
supplied Field Fixed Intermediates from GTI. Each level was divided
into two pours with a construction joint separating them. The tendons
pulled toward the building outer edges while the field fixed
intermediates held the cables at the construction joint. This allowed
the concrete to be pour for each side a day apart and the tendons
stressed altogether. |
Nintendo Parking Garage
This four level project incorporates distributed tendons in 5 and 6
inch slabs, reinforced by post tensioned beams. Each level was
separated into several pours with a total of 275,250 sq ft when
completed. To make construction smoother, PTC supplied each pour
individually bundled for a more organized job site. When completed,
this parking garage will provide 820 new parking spaces for the
Nintendo campus. |

Bravern
A 1.6 million sq ft project, this four tower structure proved to be
one of PTC’s most extensive jobs. Not only did PTC provide the post
tensioning, but also barrier cable and bonded beams. PTC provided
detailed drawings that were updated with every revision, making the
installation of post tensioning easier. When completed in 2010, these
buildings will provide high end shops and 450 new condos to the ever
growing City of Bellevue. |
Ashwood Commons
Viewing this odd shaped building from the ground makes it look like
it defies gravity. Making this effect possible would be the post
tensioned slabs and bonded beams. With cantilevered decks and odd
column arrangements, the Ashwood Commons makes great use of the post
tensioning system supplied by PTC. This majestic mixed use project will
total 23 floors when completed and add new character to the Bellevue
neighborhood. |

Bellevue Towers
With one of its towers reaching 450 feet and 43 floors high, this double
tower structure rivals the Lincoln Towers for current tallest building in
Bellevue. The widespread and irregularly placed columns allowed for better
use of floor space and were made possible by a post tensioning system
provided by PTC. PTC works with engineers and contractors to draw and
deliver exactly what was designed by the project engineer. |
University of Washington Parking Garage
PTC is innovative when it comes to barrier cable and the University of
Washington Parking Garage is an example of a job well done. The galvanized
bare strands evenly spaced and pulled to required strength allow for an
aesthetically pleasing vehicle barrier. PTC supplies parts and extensive
knowledge for installing a system that can be easily replaced and also be
cost effective. |

Mukilteo Staybridge Suites
The Mukilteo Staybridge Suites have a unique post tensioning floor system
in that it is 15 inches thick, but proved to be no match for the PTC detailers.
With a 15 inch slab and no drop caps, special studrails had to be ordered to
prevent punching shear forces over the columns. PTC works closely with Deacon,
a studrail supplier, to make sure the properly sized studrails make it to the
job site in a timely manner along with easy to understand drawings for
installation. This project looks forward to opening in 2009. |
Snohomish County Underground Garage
To start this project a 90 foot deep hole was dug in the ground in 2002.
Two years, seven decks and 8000 tendons later, Snohomish County can now
provide 1200 more parking stalls. The 8000 tendons were part of a bonded
beam post tensioned system supplied by PTC. |

Meridian
This beautiful, six story condominiums located in Salem took advantage of
the cost savings that comes from using PTC post tensioning systems. With
thinner slabs the overall height of the building was reduced making less
material required for the stone and brick façade. The end result is an
elegant building with saving on the price of construction. |

Centerpoint West Parking Garage
This Alaskan job was designed with tenant safety in mind; the parking garage features plenty of lighting and openness. This was made possible by the post tensioned slab design which allows for greater spans between columns. PTC supplied the post tensioning and barrier cable to this project which opens in Febuary 2010. |
